International Final - 2004
The International Final of the Global Management 2004 was held in Lisbon, Portugal, during the 12th and 13th of April. This year’s winning team was Poland.

In the International Final 16 countries participated:

Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hong Kong SAR (China), India, Italy, Macao SAR (China), Mexico, People’s Republic of China, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Slovak Republic and Spain.

As it has occurred in the previous year, the teams are divided into two groups for the semi-final, and then the eight teams with the highest company share prices of each group, qualify for the final round.  

 This year the eight finalist  teams were: Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Macao SAR (China), People’s Republic of China, Poland, Singapore and Slovak Republic.

FINAL RESULTS

The commemoration of the Global Management Challenge 25 years celebration ended with this final event on April 2005.

This year to Poland’s amazement they took the podium for 1st place. This unexpected victory fully satisfied the participants that were taking home the 1st place prize. In 2nd place came France and Macau took 3rd place.

In 4th came People’s Republic of China, in 5th came the Czech Republic team, in 6th place the Slovak Republic, in 7th Singapore, and in 8th place came Belgium.

PRIZES:

Besides the prizes awarded to the winning team and participation awards given to the remaining teams, the International Organisation distinguished SAP Portugal as “International Sponsor of the Year”. This award was given for outstanding contribution to the international development of the Global Management Challenge.
