The team from Russia, a managers team, was the winner of the 2011 International Final.

Russia joined this competition of strategy and management just 6 years ago and this is their second international victory.

"The year of 2012 brought to our team a unique chance to take part in the final stage of Global Management Challenge, the largest strategic management competition in the world. The long-awaited result seemed so uncertain that I feel content of the fact that we’ve not missed our opportunity. Of course, it happened because of neither luck influence nor our extremely strong opponents’ fault. The factor of success was in a well-organized structure of our team, which had been designed as a rare mix of top-managers and practicing teachers of economics. I’m confident, they absolutely deserved to be mentioned here: Alexey Polyakov, Alexander Shashko,  Andrey Shakirov and Alexey Barabanov.
Now Global Management Challenge is expanding like the Universe: new countries begin participating in it and many beginner teams start competing each other every new season. I’m very glad of this phenomenon and hope this positive trend will last further. I wish every new hardworking participant to withstand with dignity evergrowing level of competition in Global Management Challenge and get all the benefits and experience such a struggle carries." Eugene Petrin - Russia Team

In second place was Poland and in third Ukraine.

Besides the countries stated the following teams competed for the world title:
